He experienced his first Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) at five months. He loved looking at all the lights and characters. This was one of the easiest trips; he just rode around in his stroller and enjoyed looking around. We were able to ride a lot; his first ride was on the Jungle Cruise.

He did fall asleep waiting for the parade, but we stayed and watched while he slept.
We have gone many more times in the past four years. He loves going, and there is always something for him to do and enjoy regardless of his age. He now has his favorite things in each park. He could watch the model train outside of Germany in Epcot for hours if we let him. He loves riding the teacups and spinning so fast it makes me dizzy.
He can't wait to go back and try Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and he seems to find something new each time we go.
I understand why some people would want to wait to take their kids to Disney. They think the kids will enjoy it more, and there is more for them to do. However, there are also benefits to taking them younger. Until the age of three, kids are FREE! That is a huge benefit in my opinion. Parents don't have to miss their favorite thrill rides because of younger kids. Instead, they can use the "parent.baby swap". One parent can ride, while the other waits with the kids. Then, the other parent can ride without waiting in a line (usually by using the Fastpass line). If parents want a night out alone, there are babysitting options available.
Families have to decide what is best for them, but they should know that Disney is possible with younger kids.
