Why a Walt Disney World Vacation?

The Walt Disney World encompasses 47 square miles of theme parks, water parks, resorts, and more.

There is so much to see and do, and there is something for everyone's taste and style.  Disney realizes that not everyone has the same budget, so they offer varying ticket and dining options and numerous resorts to choose from.  I want to do a post for each resort, but for now the basics resort categories are: value, moderate, deluxe, and villas.  There is also a campground (offering a range of options from basic hookups all the way to cabins).  I am hoping to eventually stay in every resort, but with so many choices that will take time.  I have managed to stay at most of the value resorts.  The Art of Animation, which just opened, is the only one I have not yet experienced.

There are also four parks and two water parks.  I will devote posts to each of these individually.  I love the parks, and even for people who do not like thrill rides, there is a ton to do.  We started taking my son to WDW when he was two months old, and now at four he is a huge Disney fan.  He is counting down until he can go back and ride his first "real" coaster.  I truly believe that Disney is for people of all ages.  I have gone with people from infant to senior citizen and all have had a fantastic time.  We are now annual passholders and can visit anytime; I find myself enjoying simply walking around and taking in the surroundings.  On a few occasions we have just visited different resorts or walked around Downtown Disney.

The theming and attention to detail that Disney does is superb.  They truly provide an immersive environment whether it is in the park or at a hotel.  More details will come in a later post, but for now here are the four park icons:
